The oak is engineered European oak. This means the post has a jointed oak core with a 3mm solid oak wrap, mitred on each corner. We would not recommend this post be chamfered or adapted in any way as it may disturb the lamination.
The Warkworth plain square range offers a simple feel with clean lines suitable for both modern and traditional interiors.
The Warkworth newel post is available in 90mm as well as 115mm and 140mm making an impressive statement in larger hallways or open plan settings. Flat caps suit this range perfectly with a rebate on the underside to sit down over the top of the post.
We offer this particular newel post in a variety of lengths; 1350mm (suitable for landing), 1500mm, 1800mm and 2400mm, also available as a Warkworth Half Newel post and 3 pegged versions, the NT210 PEG, the NT416 PEG and the NT205 PEG.
This timeless yet contemporary design offers many variations to suit your individual style; Warkworth plain square newel peg can be teamed with matching Warkworth spindles, Alnwick square twist spindles or glass balustrading for a light airy feel.

They are often used in conjunction with the complete and half newels which have a slightly different finish to their edges, the complete and half newels in pine and white primed pine have a slightly rounded edge.
