Gibside Newel Post – 205 Peg

Description

A reproduction from the Victorian era our Gibside newel posts and spindles fit perfectly in period properties; traditionally installed on a cut string staircase with a painted finish or a combination of painted spindles with hardwood newel posts and handrails.

The Gibside newel post is available in 90mm as well as 115mm and 140mm making an impressive statement in larger hallways, a feature commonly found in properties of this era. Our Kendal turned cap suits this range perfectly.

The Gibside  spindle is available in 41mm, 45mm, 50mm, 55mm.

This product is available in Pine and Oak, alternative timbers and sizes are available on request, please don’t hesitate to ask.

The dowel on the bottom of the newel peg has a diameter of 50mm and is 95mm long.

We now have a range of Zipbolts that can be used to fix your post and also Zipbolts to attach your handrail to the newel post, Straight Zipbolt fixing kit for flat areas such as landings or the Zipbolt Angled Slipfix Kit for the rake of your stairs.

Our Consumables section contains a range of adhesives, including Soudal Pro 45P Wood Adhesive, which is suitable for use with this product.
